With offers rolling in and top college programs showing interest, Ty Isaia is quickly becoming one of the more intriguing quarterback prospects on the West Coast.
The Murrieta Valley High School standout has already earned offers from Ole Miss and Purdue, with the Rebels extending their scholarship following his performance at a camp earlier this summer.
But for Isaia, the attention hasn’t changed his approach. He’s locked in on his team.
“This summer I have been focused on my team,” Isaia said. “We have a lot of younger guys and transfers stepping up in the offense. A big emphasis this summer is finding an identity and culture that will make us successful this season.”
Isaia, who also competed at a Boston College camp and been to UCLA, has positioned himself for a busy fall. He said he plans to make several unofficial visits, including to programs out west and beyond.
“I will be going to a few schools on the west coast. Schools like USC and UCLA,” Isaia said. “But I really want to make an effort to go to the Midwest and East Coast.”
As a dual-threat quarterback, Isaia blends arm talent with athleticism, giving him the versatility college coaches are seeking.
“I am a dual threat quarterback. I play with a west coast kind of feel,” he said. “I use my speed and agility to pick up yards on the ground, but also to extend plays and keep the offense alive. I have a strong arm and have the ability to deliver accurate throws.”
Among the programs showing the most interest are USC and Ole Miss, two schools Isaia is keeping a close eye on as his recruitment continues.
“The schools that have shown me the most love are USC and Ole Miss,” he said. “Both schools have amazing programs, and I can’t wait to keep building my relationships with their coaches.”
While still early in the recruiting process, Isaia is clear on what matters to him as he evaluates his future.
“I want to play for a school that doesn’t only value me as a player, but also as a person,” he said. “College football is a business, so finding a coach that I can get behind is important. Everybody wants to win, but at the same time I want to develop.”
As he enters another critical season at Murrieta Valley, Isaia continues to rise. Not just as a quarterback, but as a leader ready for the next level.
