At 6-foot-6 and 218 pounds, Carlos Clark Jr. has the size and athleticism that college coaches dream about. Whether it’s coming off the edge or lining up as a tight end, the Liberty North High School standout is attracting early interest from Division I programs.
Clark, a member of the Class of 2027, is being recruited on both sides of the ball. Lindenwood has already extended a scholarship offer, while Kansas State has been in consistent contact.
“My height and my explosiveness,” Clark said, when asked what schools like most about his game.
That rare combination has made him a fit at multiple positions. While he shines as a pass rusher, his frame and athletic traits could also make him a matchup nightmare on offense.
“In college, I think with my height, I could play tight end,” Clark said. “That’s one of the things that Lindenwood told me when they offered.”
Clark said he’s planning visits to both schools soon.
“I got a game invite from both Lindenwood and Kansas State,” he said. “They are going to give me the dates on those when everything’s ready.”
While his recruitment is just beginning to ramp up, Kansas State has already made a strong early impression.
“The defensive line coach from K-State has been texting me,” Clark said. “Just keeping in touch and stuff like that. That’s one of the schools that really keeps in touch.”
With two-way potential and time to develop, Clark is just scratching the surface of what he could become. As more programs take notice, his ability to impact the game from multiple angles makes him one of Missouri’s more intriguing young prospects to watch.
