2027 Bastrop WR Dallas Crescenzo Garners National Recruiting Attention

Dallas Crescenzo is only entering his junior year at Bastrop High School, but the Class of 2027 wide receiver is already drawing national recruiting attention.

The 6-foot, 185-pound playmaker has collected offers from UConn, Maryland, Florida State, UCLA, Arizona State, Pitt, Florida International, Western Kentucky, Tulane, Eastern Michigan and Purdue, among others. His summer was spent building that list through camps, visits and standout performances.

“I started out the summer pretty strong,” Crescenzo said. “I hit a few colleges and picked up offers early. It was nice to get a few in person and I think that helped my recruiting because schools actually had a chance to see me work live. I went to the six star elite finals and picked up the WR MVP and that definitely gave me more momentum. Other than that I have just been putting in a lot of speed training work and WR specific training. I also spent alot of time working on punt return. It’s important to me to contribute in every way possible.”

Crescenzo’s recruitment is expected to stay busy through the fall. He already has several game-day visits lined up.

“I have a busy beginning of the season. Week 1 I’m at Florida State for a game day visit,” he said. “Then I’ll be at Tulane, Arizona State, UCLA, Purdue, Maryland and Kentucky. I have been in contact with a few other schools I just have not locked in specific dates yet.”

Versatility has been one of Crescenzo’s calling cards. His skill set allows him to impact games in multiple ways.

“I would say my playing style makes me very versatile,” he said. “With my ability to run great routes and my elite speed/quickness I am able to be moved all around the field whether I’m in the slot, out wide, kick/punt returner, and even running back. I am a physical player who isn’t afraid to hit. On top of that my extreme knowledge of the game allows me to excel even further beyond other players.”

While new programs continue to show interest, Crescenzo said there is not a clear leader yet.

“There are a lot of schools that are in constant communication and I’ve started a lot of great relationships,” he said. “There are new schools weekly coming to the table so that’s exciting. I wouldn’t say any school is recruiting harder than the next they all seem genuinely interested. There are a few that I speak to more then others but then those other schools communicate in other ways. I feel all the schools have there own way of recruiting.”

A commitment may come sooner than most recruits his age.

“As far as a decision I’m going to make one earlier then most but I’m definitely going to see some of these schools in person,” Crescenzo said. “I’ve already been to Florida State several times and coach Norvell is an awesome guy. Arizona State was beautiful and playing under a guy like Hines Ward and coach Dillingham would be great, TCU was great all these schools are amazing so I’m just looking for the best opportunity to develop as a player and a person to get to the next level.”
